The Russians are coming….Every once in a while, we get asked to design custom bespoke lighting and home furnishings, like the restaurant we just finished Mari Vanna L.A. I love these kind of projects, as a designer it allows me to dive into a new creative pool and step away from my personal vision at House of Cindy and design from the clients perspective.
Using comfort and beauty as my muse, inspired by the fabulous Faberge egg we custom made lighting, lampshades and pillows in linen fabrics with delicate laces and trims. Taking caution to design a clean modern take on Babushka chic.
Having found the perfect location to set up their LA outpost, Mari Vanna is tucked away on the chic side street, Melrose Place. This neighborhood of West Hollywood has historically been home to best antique showrooms, boutiques, salons and a slew of interior design ateliers and shops. If you find yourself in the neighborhood, famished after a shopping spree, stop in for a bit of caviar and a sip infused vodka to keep you going into the night.
Speaking of night, rumor has it that Mondays are secret key night. The beautiful atrium like glass doors will be locked and only those with a secret key can let themselves in to join the party and find more Stars inside than on Hollywood Boulevard.
