Sea of Golden Glamour – The Gala of the Year at The Met.

Watching the live steam on Vogue.com I felt like Alice in Wonderland and my laptop my looking glass, transporting me through time and space to the red carpet at The Met in New York. With my birds eye view I spied what seemed like 100 years of fashion influence. Gala goers dressed in awe inspiring gowns with sweeping feathered trains, glittering beaded dresses and dashingly handsome men in tuxedos. Live across the universe living Fashion Royalty walking the red carpet with Movie Stars, Rock Stars and 21st Century Business Tycoons.

This years Costume Institute annual fundraiser exhibition called “Impossible Conversations” featured two Iconic Female Fashion Designers. Innovators Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada although they never met the exhibition explores the parallels between their design philosophies and surrealism .

The question of the night was, if you could talk to anyone living or dead, fact or fictionally who would it be? The fashion icon I would have a conversation with is Coco Chanel. Who would you choose? Here are my favorite looks of the evening to inspire you.
